Lol they played in my town a couple weeks ago. I talked to Danny for a while, and all the guys were pretty chill…so way ahead of ya ;)
I would like to take this time to thank everyone in my life who has taught me anything musically. My elementary teacher, for encouraging me to sing more. My jr. highschool teacher, for explaining that peforming music is for me, and my audience. My highschool teacher, for pushing me to explore music more, and be more musically inclined. And finally, all my friends, family, and anyone else who has encouraged me through my journey of music.
Thank you all so much!
25. No matter how well I play, there’s always room for improvement.
Some of Kaki King guitars. From left: Harp guitar, 7 string fanned fret nylon, high-tuned 12 string and her original guitar the ovation.
There’s no feeling like it. Playing music, and having all attention on you. It’s the time when you know all that practice has paid off. There’s a moment when you realize all they want to hear is you. There’s truly nothing like it.
Its exhilarating, while at the same time, terrifying.
Music in a way has tought me how to stay motivated. I remember how long it took me to learn that “one song”, and I gave up for a little bit, but I came right back and learned it. Music is one thing I will never give up on.
My main goal as a musician, is to inspire. It would be a dream come true if a musician listed my name as a reference to playing music.
"I wanted to play music to be like *Insert name here*"
That would be amazing.
I Wrestled A Bear Once. Apparently this band has a HUGE following, personally I don’t care much for their music, but that’s just me. Band has really good “clean” vocals, which might catch someone off guard, but it’s a good thing. They must be doing something right to be getting all the attention, even if it’s having ridiculous song titles lol.
